ALL ABOUT AAROGYA SETU APP

In the past few days you must have received an e-mail or message from government to download Aarogya setu app or you must have heard from your family or friends about this app So read ahead to know everything about this app and why to download this and how it helps us to be safe from COVID-19.

Aarogya setu is a  mobile application developed by the government of India to connect essential health services with the people of India in our combined fight against COVID -19 . The App is aimed at augmenting the initiative of the Government of India , particularly the department of health , in proactively reaching out to and informing the users of the app regarding risks , best practices and relevant advisories pertaining to the containment of COVID - 19.

Aarogya setu app keeps you informed if you have crossed paths with someone who has tested COVID -19 positive  it  tracks , through a Bluetooth and GPS generated social graph , your interaction with someone who could have tested COVID - 19 positive  

For using the app Simply 
1. Install the app ( Available both on Android and IOS  )

2. Switch On GPS and Bluetooth and GPS 

3. Set Location sharing to 'Always' 

Basically you have to first Register through Your Name and Phone Number and input the OTP received on your Registered Mobile Number (You will recieve the OTP on the number on which you have given for the registration ) it asks about general information about you like your Name , Age and your previous travel history of last 14 days and you have to choose the symptoms you are having (if any )

Based on the given data it gives a colour code out of three colours and the three different colours are 

GREEN - it means you have the least chance of getting infected by COVID - 19

YELLOW - it means you have a slight higher chance of getting infected by COVID 19

RED - it means you have the highest risk of getting infected by COVID 19

and changes colour if you come close to COVID 19 positive person or go in a area which is highly infected and yes the result it gives does not assure  100% that you are infected or not infected by COVID 19 because it gives the result on data given by you and your recent travel history

You get all the Helpline numbers to inquire about COVID -19 provided by Central Government and  various State Government 

You get chart of various ways to prevent getting infected by COVID 19
